Botulinum toxin K2 Medical & Dental Clinic
Botulinum toxin is one of the most known procedures of the aesthetic medicine. It is perfect for those who want to get rid of wrinkles (especially face and neck). The injections may also be helpful in the case of excessive sweating, bruxism and migraine headaches.
During the procedure botulinum toxin is injected. It is a very strong, natural toxin that causes the inhibition of the release of acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is the neurotransmitter responsible for the transmission of the impulses between the nerves and muscles. Botulinum toxin blocks the connections between nerve endings and the muscles. As a result, there is no muscle contraction.
The effect appears after about 7 days and lasts for about 4-6 months. The procedure is not painful, but in the case of very sensitive patients anesthetic cream is applied (Emla).
Hyaluronic acid injection
Injections with hyaluronic acid are the perfect skin therapy for those who wish to enhance the cheekbones, change the shape of the cheeks or fill the recess around the temples (forehead). Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that makes skin plump, elastic, hydrated and firm. In aesthetic medicine it is used to fill and model the skin. This procedure may be uncomfortable, so it is possible to apply anesthetic cream (Emla).
The effects are immediate and last for about 18-24 months. Over time hyaluronic acid is completely absorbed. Immediately after the procedure, the patient can return to normal life.
Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is another well-known treatment of the aesthetic medicine. Mesotherapy involves injecting carefully selected nutrients into the skin. These substances are getting directly into the deep layers of the skin – that’s why mesotherapy is so effective. What’s more, during this procedure, skin is stimulated for regeneration.
Mesotherapy isn’t painful. The very first results you may see immediately but for the final ones you will have to wait up to a few weeks.
Chemical peel in K2 Medical & Dental Clinic
Chemical peel is a facial treatment that causes exfoliation of the epidermis and/or deep layers of the skin. The depth of the penetration depends on the substance used. In K2 Medical & Dental Clinic we use special mixes of acids such as:
- Beta Peel: azelaic acid, salicylic acid, almond oil, lactic acid,
- White Peel: lactic, almond, phytic, salicylic acid,
- Eye Peel: lactobionic acid, lactic acid, almond acid,
- Jessner Peel: lactic, salicylic acid, resorcinol,
- TCA: trichloroacetic acid.
Depending on the type of the peeling we may get different effects such as: reduction of wrinkles, reduction of hyper pigmentation, improvement of skin tone, lightening of skin tone, reduction of acne, reduction of pores, reduction of greasiness, improvement of elasticity.
